Only our own searching for happiness prevents us from seeing it.
It is like a vivid rainbow which you pursue without ever catching it, or a dog chasing its own tail.
Although peace and happiness do not exist as an actual thing or place, they are always available, and accompany you every instant.

我们寻找幸福，正是这一点让我们找不到幸福。
正如一道美丽的彩虹，你追逐，却不曾抓住，或像一只小狗追逐自己的尾巴。
尽管平静与幸福并非如实物一般真实存在，

短诗“无拘无束（Free and Easy）”，根敦喇嘛仁波切（Lama Gendun Rinpoche，1918-1997），在西藏和印度孤独地隐居了30多年，是西藏老一辈喇嘛最后的大师之一。
解读
有些东西，能通过意愿、努力、行动而达到，例如对外界的追求。
而有些东西，只能通过放下、放松、平静而达到，例如向内心的探索。
而我有时会陷入混乱，把放下当做放弃对外追求的借口，或者强求自己做出某些内在的改变。
也许，人生的幸福，就源于看得清这两者的区别，追求该追求的，放下该放下的，前者让我达成目标，后者让我收获自由。

through great effort and willpower,
but is already present,

As soon as you open and relax
this tight fist of grasping,
infinite space is there -

this freedom and natural ease.
Don't search any further
looking for the great awakened elephant,

就躺在你自己的壁炉前。Nothing to do or undo,
nothing to force,
nothing to want,
and nothing missing -无需做什么，无需停下什么，
